No, you will not have to change your current gas provider, as Beat Energy® specialises in your electricity supply.
No, Beat Energy® will take care of your electricity provider transfer for you, however if your current account is in credit, you may want to contact your provider to arrange a refund.
Bills are sent out monthly once your first bill has been issued. The issuance of the first bill may be shorter or longer than one month.
Our most popular option is Centrepay, where an amount nominated by the tenant is taken out directly from their pension and put into their Beat Energy® account. You can also set up a direct debit to deduct the whole amount, or you can arrange for a debit of a certain amount to come out on a fortnightly basis. Credit card and Bpay payments are also available.
We will schedule a time in for a call to take place.

A team member from Beat Energy® will complete the sign up process and create your retailer account through that same phone call.
One form of identification for a credit check - driver’s licence, Medicare card or proof of age card.

If you have a valid concession card - the CRN, start date, expiry date and the way the name is displayed on the card.
Most, if not all, of your day time consumption can be covered by solar. This energy is supplied to you at a discounted rate, you save money by transferring your energy usage from night time to day time (from the grid to solar).
Property owners purchase their solar system for an upfront cost which is several thousand dollars. Therefore, they do not pay anything for the electricity they use that is generated from those systems to recover their upfront costs. The Smart Solar system on your home is paid for by your housing provider at NO COST TO YOU, the tenant. Therefore, you receive the benefit of the solar generation at a highly discounted rate that is cheaper than the grid energy price.
Our Solar Tenant Plan has no lock-in contracts or exit fees. However, if you choose to change energy providers, your Smart Solar System will be automatically turned off, and no more solar energy will be available to you. The Smart Solar solution for tenants is only available on the Beat Energy® Solar Tenant Plan.
